It's awesome to see people with chronic illness taking up NaNo - and other challenges.

I had to leave the writing program at St Edward's University in Austin Texas back in 2005 because of my fibromyalgia and arthritis; it took me two years to get another job, and that one a fairly low-impact, low-pay and low-stress job that I can do without killing myself.

However, because I am a male and under the age of 40, social security is reluctant to give me disability - so it's been a rough road.

I've skimmed over several of your entries, and they've hit home with me, especially the one about the pain scale.

Thanks for sharing - and thanks even more for starting the thread on NaNo!
